Renowned as the brand at the highest summit of the watch world, Patek Philippe is an independent manufacturer that carries out all manufacturing steps from development to final assembly in-house. By introducing a wide variety of innovative technology, including the first use of a crown to wind and set the hands of the watch, and by developing ultra-complicated timepieces, Patek Philippe has made an unsurpassed contribution to the history of watch-making.

Established in 1839, 2014 is the 175th Anniversary for Patek Philippe. Patek Philippe created a collectin of limited-edition commemorative timepieces. One of them stands out in particular. It is "Grandmaster Chime" Ref.5175 which is the most complicated wristwatch that Patek Philippe has ever produced. It is the first double-face reversible wristwatch by Patek Philippe. It has no fewer than 20 complications including coveted functions such as a Grande and Petite Sonnerie, a minute repeater, an instrantaneous perpetual calendar with a four-digit year display, and two patented global debuts in the domain of chiming watches: an acoustic alarm that strikes the alarm time and a date repeater that sounds the date on demand. Patek Philippe creates limited 7 timepieces of "Grandmaster Chime" Ref.5175 with 6 patented technology.

Patek Philippe consistently placed great emphasis on creating a stage for highly specialized forms of craftsmanship such as engraving, guilloching, enameling (cloisonné, miniature painting, etc.), marquetry, the jeweler's arts, etc.. Celebrating the 175th anniversary, Patek Philippe also created unique timepieces with such"Rare Handcraft".

Family-owned Patek Philippe can service and restore any watch it has delivered. This reliable after-sales service enables Patek Philippe timepieces to be handed down from parents to children beyond generations.
