The “master of complications” that has produced several great advanced technologies in the history of luxury timepieces

Franck Muller chose a place that defied the common wisdom to establish his workshop to embody his aesthetics; Franck Muller Watchland was set up in a place of scenic beauty that overlooks Lake Leman.

Franck Muller has studied each component that makes a watch and consistently added improvements, while always developing the relationship between advanced technology and traditional craftsmanship.

The Swiss watchmaker Franck Muller attained a unique position in just a few years since establishment. He has been creating numerous unprecedented masterpieces in the history of mechanical timepieces for many years.
The caseback of Franck Muller pieces are engraved with the words, “Master of Complications”. In 1983 when complex watches were confined to the field of pocket watches, he came up with the concept of a wristwatch with complex functions, and in less than 20 years put out into the world more than 30 pieces of the world’s first super-complex watches and many timepieces with unprecedented revolutionary systems that have been issued with new design patents.
Franck Muller’s policy for watch-making is to always embody the perceptional change toward wristwatches and sublime aesthetics using advanced technical capabilities, while faithfully carrying on the age old tradition. Franck Muller timepieces present the interpretation of “time”, which is almost forgotten in the 21st century, on a canvas that is the wristwatch in new futuristic expressions. They evoke the close relationship between “man and time” from ancient times and let the wearer take notice of the “mercy of time”.
For the spirit of the watchmakers in each fine and complex component to give significance to the wearer’s “time”; the engraved words contain Franck Muller’s philosophy of time.
