History

The predecessor organization, Japan Watch Importers' Union, was reorganized in November 1955, and after being granted permission from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (currently Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), founded the current Japan Watch Importers' Association.
Japan Watch Importers' Association has always supported the growth and expansion of the watch and clock industry, and by partnering with appropriate authorities, established order in import procedures of foreign watch and clock brands. Working closely with trade houses and locally-incorporated brands who are members of this Association, it continues to establish trust with the consumers, contributing to enhance the quality of life by providing genuine foreign watch and clock brands.
